Browser Settings
This application is best viewed at 1024x768 resolution with:
Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher,
Netscape 6 or higher,
or
Mozilla 1.0 or higher.
The Internet Map application can be viewed in both Microsoft Internet Explorer (5.5 or higher) and Netscape Communicator (6 or higher).
For faster performance, 64 MB of RAM is recommended. The application is best used with a fast Internet connection. If you have a 56K or slower connection, maps could take several seconds to load.
Subscribers to Internet service providers (ISP), which have their own browser software (such as AOL), may experience problems using the ISP browser. If this happens, once your Internet connection has been established,
open up one of the three supported browsers to access the system. ISP-provided browsers generally put an outside wrapper around the Internet window that remains active and cannot be minimized.
These wrappers take up too much screen space and will not allow satisfactory viewing.
This application will run with smaller monitors and screen resolution settings, but for optimum viewing, the application should be viewed with 17" monitors (or larger) that have screen resolutions set to 1024 x 768
(From the Start Menu, select Settings/Control Panel/Display and on the Settings tab, change the screen area to 1024 x 768 pixels).
